Since 1970, Occasions Catering (formerly Occasions by Sandy) has reinvented catering in Denver with the belief that great food and service are just the beginning – it’s all about creating occasions. Our comprehensive event design process is custom tailored for every party, from 10 to 10,000 guests. No two events are alike, and that’s just the way our clients like it.

Generations of Expertise

Sandy & Barry TenenbaumOccasions was founded by Sandy Tenenbaum, who built the business from her kitchen into a major force in the Denver event scene. With her husband and business partner, Barry, Sandy catered every major event in the community, from lavish weddings to openings of major Broadway plays at the Denver Center, from company picnics to non-profit galas, from private chef dinners to over-the-top bar and bat mitzvahs.

Occasions has won countless awards for food, original design, and flawless execution. In 2008, Sandy sold Occasions to Jeremy Bronson and David Tenenbaum (Sandy’s son), who run the business today. Sandy retired in 2010 but remains a fixture of the Denver event scene.
